Sustainability Committees & Reporting

The Manufacturers Alliance Investor Relations Council participated in the survey in July 2021, uncovering a wide array of approaches.

Key Findings:

• Internal Committees are becoming the norm – About 2/3 of companies have an active sustainability committee, but for the most part they are recently formed.
• Collaboration for the win – While legal is most often at the helm, EH&S is the most likely group to lead the day-to-day.
• Ask the experts – Most companies are engaging outside firms for help with their sustainability efforts.
• Varied approach to frameworks – While respondents subscribe to a variety of frameworks, SASB and GRI lead the way.
