Avner Applbaum

Avner M. Applbaum is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Valmont Industries, Inc., a global company that improves life by creating vital infrastructure and advancing agricultural productivity with a commitment to conserving resources. As President and CEO, Avner leads long-term growth strategies, continuing Valmont’s nearly 80-year legacy as a global industry leader — doing more with less by innovating through technology to meet the increasing demands of an ever-changing world. Mr. Applbaum is a member of the Executive Committee and on the Board of Trustees for Manufacturers Alliance. 

He joined Valmont in 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, where he developed and implemented the company's financial strategy, oversaw the success of financial activities, and aided in planning and executing multiple IT initiatives. 

Mr. Applbaum has over 25 years of experience in senior operational and financial roles at publicly traded and private equity-backed companies, including Ametek, Belden and TE Connectivity (formerly Tyco Electronics). He has also worked for Ernst & Young. 

Mr. Applbaum received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Bar-Ilan University in Israel and is a Certified Public Accountant.
