Membership Development Associate

Job Summary

The Membership Development Associate plays a key role in generating leads, developing nurture campaigns, identifying target accounts within the manufacturing sector, and securing calls/meetings. The Membership Development Associate will research individuals who would be ideal for the Manufacturers Alliance’s Council and Circle programs. They will support sales automation efforts that includes; writing, monitoring analytics, and other tools to verify we have the right opportunity for the right person.

The ideal candidate is an organized, creative, detail-oriented, and team player. They will work closely with the salespeople and overall sales team to execute the organization’s revenue goals.

This is the perfect opportunity for an individual interested in starting their business development career on a commercial team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research key companies identifying executive level management in accounts
  • Develop and refine key messaging that will attract senior-level management
  • Ability to quickly qualify/disqualify target prospective leads
  • Learn about the organization’s membership and target markets for growth
  • Work closely with the sales team to support growth campaigns
  • Review analytics for campaign effectiveness with tools such as Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn SalesNavigator
  • Schedule prospective member calls for sales team members
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospective members
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Requirements

  • Creativity: The ability to draft messaging that will resonate with C-level executives and senior management
  • Organization: Someone who can manage multiple opportunities and leads within a sales pipeline
  • Communication: Whether it’s corresponding internally with the team or a potential customer, someone able to represent the organization and team well
  • Attitude: Someone with a winning attitude and successful mindset

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.

Experience
  • Passion for and background in business development, sales, or marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectually curiosity, tenacious, coachable, and strict attention to detail
  • Previous experience supporting a sales team is plus
  • Previous experience with a CRM, prospecting, or sales automation tool is a plus
Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 1-2 years of experience.

Working Conditions

Fully remote office with quarterly in-person meetings in the Washington, DC metro area. Travel is required approximately 10-15% of the time.
