John Miller

John Miller serves as Council Director of Operations Community at Manufacturers Alliance. He is a proven association leader with extensive experience in the automotive, aerospace, heavy duty trucking and off highway equipment, electrical and pharmaceutical distribution industries.

John spent more than 11 years in industry working in engineering, coordinating with manufacturing, managing an engineering computer system and as a project manager for Manufacturers Alliance member SPX Corporation. This strong background in industry allowed him to apply this knowledge to the association world and in 2000 John joined the Society of Automotive Engineers planning and organizing engineering meetings. After nearly a decade at SAE International, John moved to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) as an Industry Director. As the business team leader for 11 product sections, he was responsible for leading the product sections, coordinating activities with the members and NEMA staff. A move to the Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) gave John a chance to be the technical lead on diverse projects and advise staff on member operations and processes. John is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BS in Engineering Graphics.
