Securing OT for Manufacturers

Threat Groups continue to strengthen their grip around the neck of manufactures. Between named threats with documented tactics to newly identified threat groups with impressive modular attacks paths, manufacturers have taken the brunt of many of these attacks. Unlike utilities and government entities, manufacturers do not have access to resources, regulations, or a lack of competition.

In this presentation, Elan Alvey, Senior Industrial Consultant Threat Operations Center at Dragos, will share resources available to manufacturers and practical implementation of some of the resources, such as SANS 5 Critical Controls. Attendees will also look at current and emerging threat groups and how proper planning and mitigation can help protect an environment.

Protect Manufacturing Businesses from Ransomware Attacks with Modern Storage Solutions

Ransomware attacks are a severe threat to any business, but especially to manufacturing organizations that rely on data and systems to operate efficiently and safely. To prevent disruptions, equipment damage, compromised quality, and exposure of sensitive information, manufacturing businesses need a storage strategy that can protect their data from ransomware and enable fast recovery in case of an attack.

Learn how a leading manufacturer implemented a modern storage architecture that combines immutable object storage, edge caching, and rapid file recovery to create a best-in-class defense against ransomware attacks. Also hear from industry expert John Capello at Nasuni about the benefits of this approach, such as reducing the time-to-recovery from weeks to minutes, improving performance and scalability, and lowering costs.

You will also discover:

  • The three pillars of a storage strategy built for ransomware protection: immutable object storage, edge caching and composable infrastructure
  • A case study including the situation before modernization, the implementation and the benefits today
  • Lessons learned from deploying these strategies
