Let's Talk About the Environment

Be prepared to go in-depth on the "E," which focuses on how companies utilize their natural resources and their environmental impact, by discussing physical and transitional risks and how the insurance market responds by answering how we maintain durable capital for companies' risks, reduce volatility from their balance sheet, and a call to action for public and private support.

Aon’s Veronica Benzinger, National Practice Leader for our Environmental Risk Solutions, Patty Errico, Global Commercial Head of ESG, and Tracie Thompson, Head of ESG & Climate for our Global Commercial Risk Solutions, will highlight how rating agencies hold great sway over the investment market by calculating and promulgating ESG scores. Some argue that environmental insurance should be a criteria – the purchase of which not only de-risks an environmental exposure, it ensures that there is a financial mechanism in place to address pollution accidents.

Organizations that don't take a serious look at their policies and practices are at an increased financial risk.
