Sponsorship: Elevating and Keeping Your Best Talent

Adler - 15th Floor

“A mentor speaks with you, while a sponsor speaks about you.” Informal sponsorship has long been the key to advancement into executive levels of an organization, but often, historically underrepresented talent (HET) and women are left out of these channels, resulting in corporate leadership that is not representative of the current or future workforce. To ensure that your company is recognizing and advancing top talent into high visibility roles equitably, a well-designed sponsorship program is required to act as a disruptor to the bias that is present in the status quo. Drawing from research and case studies, this session will explain why sponsorship is the gold standard of interpersonal workplace relationships, provide best practices for a successful sponsor-protégé relationship, offer metrics for measuring success, and strategies to bolster your sponsorship programs.

Lunch & Closing Keynote: What's Next for Women in this Industry and Beyond

Adler - 15th Floor

Attendees will grab their plates from the buffet and return to their seats for our lunch keynote, which will begin promptly at 12:45pm.

For our closing session, Machalagh Carr of Palantir and Kristin Graybill will discuss what will change and, quite frankly, what will remain the same for female business leaders in the current environment. Machalagh joins us to shed both a realistic and inspiring perspective on how women can and will continue to thrive as they show up in male-dominated industries.
