Meet with Peers & Tour a Major East Cost Seaport

East Coast ports have taken on a record number of containers, some of them diverted from the West Coast. Charleston benefited hugely from the rerouted traffic because of intermodal connections/infrastructure in place in North and South Carolina. The closeness to the mid-Atlantic/northeast end-markets for most Asia/Europe-originated cargoes also played a role.

Port issues are just one facet of supply chain issues impacting manufacturers. Join Manufacturers Alliance and industry leaders to discuss ways to make your supply chains more resilient. This special event will be held at the Port of Charleston and will include a tour of the facility. Hear directly from the Port leaders on how shippers have used the port to solve their logistics headaches. You'll learn all there is to know about using an East Coast port. After the formal program concludes, attendees can join a reception at the Courtyard Charleston Historic District from 5-6:15 pm ET.

Note for Supply Chain and Logistics Council Members

The event was designed with our Supply Chain and Logistics Council members in mind. The program is timed to begin just after the Logistics Council meeting and end in time for a reception, where conference attendees can network with incoming the Supply Chain Council members who are participating in the meeting. Members can work around their council meeting and stay the rest of the day or arrive the day before to take advantage of this special opportunity.

Hotel Accommodations

Event attendees must book their own hotel reservations. A special hotel rate of $269.00 plus applicable taxes and service fees has been secured by Manufacturers Alliance for conference attendees staying at the Courtyard Charleston Historic District. When reserving your online accommodations, be sure to indicate your approximate arrival time under “Special Requests”. This room block will expire on Monday, September 5, 2022.
